All roem at a glance
| Combination in one trick | Roem |
|---|---|
| Run of three cards of the same suit | 20 |
| Run of four cards of the same suit | 50 |
| Stuk: king and queen of trumps | 20 |
| Four of a kind, such as four kings | 100 |
| Four jacks | 200 |
| Pit (sweep): winning all eight tricks | 100 |
Which cards are in sequence?
For roem you use the plain order: 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, king, ace. So the 10, jack, queen and king of clubs make a run of four (50), even though that is not the order in which they win tricks.
Combining roem
Combinations add up. With hearts as trump, the 10, jack, queen and king of hearts in one trick are a run of four (50) plus a stuk (20): 70 roem in total.
Who gets the roem?
Roem goes to the team that wins the trick, even if the opponents played the cards. So be careful not to complete a combination in a trick your opponents will win. The Klaverjas Club app counts roem automatically; at a real table you have to claim it.
Roem and going wet
Roem counts towards whether the playing team scored enough. If a team goes wet, the opponents also get all the roem.
