Playing

How do I start a game?

On the home screen, tap Play the computer and choose your opponent: Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. You play with a computer partner against two computer players. A game is a boom of 16 rounds.

How do I choose Rotterdam or Amsterdam rules?

Tap the gear at the top right of the home screen. In your profile you choose the variant for your next game. You also set the computer speed there: relaxed, normal or fast.

I don't know the rules yet

Tap Learn on the home screen. In eleven short lessons you play at the table yourself, with an explanation at each step. During a game, the rules and scoring are behind the info button at the top right. This site also has all the rules.

Why can't I play a card?

The cards you may play are slightly raised and have a purple border. If you have to follow suit or trump, the other cards are dimmed. See following suit and trumping for the rules.

I have to go. Will I lose my game?

No. Your game is saved and waiting when you open the app again: tap Resume game. To stop, tap the flag; the game then counts as lost.

Where are my statistics and achievements?

In your profile (the gear on the home screen): games played and won, your win rate and your achievements. Leaderboards are in Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android).

Online play

Tap Play online with friends on the home screen. You sign in automatically with Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android); your name at the table is your name there. Create a table and share the code or the link, or enter a friend's code. The computer plays any empty seats.

Troubleshooting

  • The app doesn't respond: close the app completely and open it again. Your game is saved.
  • Online play doesn't work: check that you're signed in to Game Center (in your iPhone Settings) or Google Play Games, and that you're online.
  • Text is too small or too large: the app follows your phone's text size.

Deleting your data

Playing against the computer needs no sign-in. Your games and settings are stored on your phone; your statistics also in iCloud (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), so you get them back on a new phone.

For online play an account is created automatically through Game Center or Google Play Games. We then store your player name, your tables and your results. You delete your account and this data in the app under Profile → Delete account; that also removes your statistics in iCloud or Google Play Games. If that doesn't work, email [email protected] with your player name and we will erase your data within 30 days.
